We live in a world dominated by technology that advances by the day. Many huge changes have happened in the last 10 years transforming our lives, as tech continues to advance we will surely see many more huge changes in our daily lives. Many of the new tech on this list are already being rolled out to countries all over the world, others are still in testing. Who knows somewhere close in the future tech could make life even better than it already is! Check out this list of 6 Futuristic Technologies That Are Revolutionizing The World.
3D Printing
Yes we’ve heard of 3D Printing , it has been around for a few years now, however, 3D Printing is evolving all the time. As it becomes both more widespread and more affordable for us all, 3D Printers are becoming more and more popular in our society. Industries such as Space, Medical, Design and Transportation are all being massively changed by 3D Printing. Bioprinting can be used to print custom parts for medical patients, or important parts can be printed for cars or spaceships. Surely it won’t be that long before cars, bicycles and even houses can be 3D Printed!!
Smart Glass
Smart Glass, will be bendable, super durable and smart, is this even possible? Many experts believe we are entering ‘the age of glass’. Glass that can change from opaque to clear, glass that can be bent without breaking and even glass that can function as a touch screen, glass looks like it will soon transform our workplaces and homes in the near future. Of course glass doesn’t just have to be in the place of windows, walls could be made of the new smart glass, transforming from walls to windows instantly and allowing touch actions to control everything you could imagine. This image surely is something from futuristic Sci-Fi films!
Holograms
Seen in movies from the future, Holograms may soon play an important part in our daily lives. Used for designing homes, of course in gaming and even in exploring outer space Holograms could soon offer solutions to these and many more functions we need. Our real world could be overlaid with a digital world, allowing all kinds of interaction we cannot imagine. Painting in the air, walking on Mars, it is possible that the difference between Science and Magic will become very small!
Household Drones and Robots
Robots are advancing at an alarming rate, each month we can see a new household robot reviewed on a tech website. On top of this, commercial drone sales are booming globally, both robots and drones will only get more intelligent and versatile as the tech evolves. Honda’s ASIMO a robot designed to help and interact with humans has paved the way for many other robots that are designed to perform tasks we would normally do. There are even restaurants ran only by robots! This seems only to become more and more popular as time goes on, maybe those films showing household robots performing tasks for a family are not too far ahead!
Human Enhancement
Humanity is changing all the time, and one of the leading changes is Bionics. As we continue to become more and more integrated with machines, humans of the near future could develop skills and abilities we can only dream of. Camera implants in our eyes, super skills like running and jumping aided by machines and even the control of machines with our thoughts are a possibility. Some experts believe we could even develop new experiences such as hearing colours and feeling electrical fields, or even teach our brains new skills via upload (yes just like the matrix!)
Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology is already promising big things in our society, our water could be cleaned of all pollutants, our plastic could be made biodegradable our diseases could be fought… all by nanotechnology. These super small machines are able to operate in nanometers and can work on the scale of human DNA, changing how structures behave, breaking them down or building them up for example. Of course being so small the machines can be powered by very little power, in theory the beat of a human heart could power them. There really is no end to what these super powerful little machines could do for us all!
